What Happened Thursday 9/29/11

Thursday was our last day of cooking appointments. The children were able to make muffins all week. A table was set up in the dinning room that had the correct measurements laid out of each ingrediant and was set up with simple directions the children were very easily able to follow. During this appointment the children learned how to measure, how to level, and how to correctly stir. They also learned through trial and error what happens when too much or not enough ingredient is put in. Once the proper steps were taken to make the muffins the children were able to watch their muffin rise out of their cup through the microwave. Once the muffin cooled down they were then able to eat their very own muffin if they chose. The muffin appointment was a success with great learning opportunities and great fun!

" When I got to the bottom of my muffin it was powder, I think I put too much in" -Kamsy

"I made two muffins because I am really good at it and could do it really fast! It tastes good!" -Cameron
